At West Augusta Dental Associates, we believe that dentistry is built on something far more important than procedures and technology – it's built on trust. Every day, we're grateful that our patients' confidence in us allows us to practice the profession we're passionate about.
Dr. Doug Clepper established our dental practice over 50 years ago. Over the years, we've had the privilege of building meaningful relationships with generations of families, watching children grow up, and celebrating our patients' milestones alongside them. In 1997, Dr. Doug Clepper authored a book on dental implants and was a renowned speaker, educator, and mentor for other dentists in the field of implant dentistry throughout his career.

Dr. Gregory Clepper
Dr. Greg Clepper is a native of Augusta with deep roots in the local community. After graduating from Lakeside High School, he pursued his passion for healthcare by earning a degree in biology from Furman University in 1998. He then completed his dental education at Nova Southeastern University Dental School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, graduating in 2003.
Dr. Clepper was inspired to become a dentist after witnessing how his father was beloved and respected by his patients and staff, creating a legacy he aspired to continue. Following dental school, he began his professional journey in Atlanta, practicing dentistry for five years before returning to his hometown to join West Augusta Dental Associates.
His commitment to excellence is evident through his extensive professional affiliations and leadership roles, including serving as president of the Augusta Dental Society and president of the Eastern District of the Georgia Dental Association. Dr. Clepper has also achieved a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and an Associate Fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and completed the Augusta University Implant Maxi-Course.
For Dr. Clepper, the most rewarding aspect of dentistry is building meaningful relationships and connections with his patients. He finds fulfillment in helping people overcome their fears or embarrassment about dental care, while educating them about improving their oral health and achieving smiles they didn't realize were possible.
On a personal note, Dr. Clepper shares his life with his wife Yen-Wen, and together they are proud parents to four daughters: Macy, Molly, Maggie, and Mary Claire. He enjoys playing pickleball, doing crossword puzzles, buying and returning things on Amazon, and eating.
